PowerHandling's Innovation Timeline

2001:
PowerHandling Inc. is established in the U.S.A. to design and manufacture compact, heavy-duty material handling devices.

2002:
The R-Series is released. It is predominantly for use rolling paper reels and with compressed air as its power source. An improvement over existing-technology pneumatic movers being more heavy-duty, easier to use and more compact.

2003:
The A-Series is released (with world-wide patents applied) being a zero-maintenance direct drive design and zero-maintenance handle-frame coupling in a more heavy-duty construction. This unit proved very popular in the wire/cable industry particularly due to its smaller size and ability to roll loads both forwards and backwards.

2004:
The B-Series is released (with world-wide patents pending) being the first-ever offline-rechargeable battery operated materials handling machine. Built into the same compact chassis and with most of the same features as the very popular A-Series.

2006:
The E-Series is released as an Economy battery operated model, with less torque and less cost than the B-Series but capable of handling a higher duty cycle.

The APL-Series is released, being a pneumatically operated pushing, pulling and turning device designed for moving extremely heavy, wheeled loads (such as carts).

2007:
The J-Series is released, being a complete overhaul of the original R-Series to incorporate many of the heavy-duty features of the A-Series (incl. the zero-maintenance handle-frame coupling, larger rear wheels, stronger frame & rear axle and adjustable handle height).

2008:
The H-Series is released as a higher capacity “battery-in-base” model, designed to handle applications that are both high torque and long duty-cycle. The H-Series also offers greater maneuverability, more traction and longer battery life.
